To raise health awareness among the public and implement the philosophy of preventive medicine, Kaohsiung Medical University Gangshan Hospital (KMU Gangshan Hospital) hosted the "One-Stop Health Service Event" on June 6 at Shengli Elementary School in Zuoying District. Held in alignment with the $\text{G}^3$ (Green, Good, Great) Community Health Empowerment Project, the event integrated subsidized comprehensive health screenings from the Health Promotion Administration (HPA) with physical fitness assessments from the Sports for All Agency. By combining professional medical services with smart technology equipment, the initiative provided residents with a comprehensive health assessment, promoting a new lifestyle of smart health.
The event was coordinated by the Community Health Development Center of KMU Gangshan Hospital, bringing together internal and external units, including the Health Management Center and the Cancer Center. The event provided adult preventive healthcare screening services subsidized by the HPA, including blood pressure, blood glucose, and blood lipid testing, as well as hepatitis B and C screenings. Cancer screening services and booking appointments were also available, covering cervical, breast, colorectal, gastric, and lung cancers, thereby helping the public catch chronic diseases and cancer risks early to improve the chances of early detection and treatment.
Dr. Chih-Jung Tai, Director of the Community Health Development Center at KMU Gangshan Hospital, noted that past comprehensive screenings primarily focused on basic medical evaluations. This event, however, specially introduced the Sports for All Agency's physical fitness tests, which offer body composition analysis, muscle strength tests, flexibility assessments, and cardiorespiratory endurance evaluations. This allowed participants to gain a more holistic understanding of their well-being from the dual perspectives of medical testing and physical functionality.
Professor Hsuan-Ti Huang, Superintendent of KMU Gangshan Hospital, pointed out that modern, busy work schedules and sedentary lifestyles often lead people to overlook the importance of exercise and health management. Utilizing tech-based testing tools not only increases diagnostic accuracy but also enables the delivery of customized exercise recommendations and health promotion plans based on individual data, further empowering the public's self-health management capabilities.
Professional medical teams and fitness instructors were on-site to provide health consultations and exercise guidance, helping participants accurately interpret their test data and build sound health concepts and lifestyle habits. Many participants expressed that the data-driven analysis gave them a clearer grasp of their physical fitness and health status, which in turn boosted their motivation to practice regular exercise and healthy eating habits.
Looking ahead, KMU Gangshan Hospital will continue to reach deep into communities to promote health services that fuse medical care with technology. By forging a health-care model that is more convenient, precise, and attuned to the needs of the public, the hospital aims to weave preventive healthcare into daily life, working hand-in-hand to build a "Healthy Taiwan" and comprehensively elevate the quality of public health.

Tech-based physical fitness testing is introduced directly to the screening site, creating a one-stop service for preventive healthcare.
